What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following information is removed from our active systems immediately, and from our backups within 30 days:

Any active Safer City GO subscription is cancelled at the next billing date (we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it).

What is kept (and for how long)

Some information is retained beyond account deletion to comply with the law, defend against fraud, support investigations, or maintain the public safety value of the Verified Crime Incidents Map. Where information is kept, it is either de-identified or restricted to specific authorised purposes.

What happens to data shared with third parties

When you used the Services, some information may have been shared with vetted partners (for example, certified responder partners in supported regions during an SOS event, or our payment processor Paystack for subscription billing). We will instruct any such partner to delete the personal information they hold about you when their own retention rules permit, but we cannot guarantee deletion on systems we do not operate. The retention table above reflects what we hold; partners follow their own privacy policies.
