Our community has endured a series of serious incidents — and kidnapping is among them. It is on the increase. Most of us have never once thought through what we would do — not for ourselves, and not for our families. That is exactly what makes it work.
On Tuesday 29 September, the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum, in partnership with the South African Police Service, is holding an evening on precisely that: how these things happen, and how to react when one happens to you. Your reaction could determine your outcome. Hijackings and the rock-throwing on our overpasses will be covered on the same night.
