Safer City proudly stands alongside the Civilian Crime Intelligence Network (CCIN) in celebrating the official launch of the Vulnerable Citizens Support Initiative (VCSI) and its new headquarters hosted by SCP Security.

This milestone marks a decisive advancement in uniting national efforts to safeguard and uplift vulnerable citizens. The new VCSI headquarters will function as a strategic command and support hub, coordinating partnerships between law enforcement, private security, and social outreach organisations to provide protection, intervention, and care for those most at risk.

"The VCSI headquarters will serve as a central hub for our efforts to provide support and resources to vulnerable citizens, including those affected by crime, abuse, and exploitation. Our goal is to create a comprehensive network of services and stakeholders working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most." National partners united behind one mission

The initiative brings together key national partners including:

  • SCP Security — host of the VCSI Headquarters
  • Beagle Watch
  • BCI Security
  • Vision Tactical
  • Bad Boyz
  • Legendary Guardians Exclusive Protection
  • the Safer City Group
  • representatives from National Crime Intelligence
  • and the Anti-Kidnapping Task Team

This collaborative framework is essential for national safety and resilience — bringing private security, civilian intelligence networks, and specialist task teams under one coordinated structure.

VCSI Panic App on the horizon

As part of this broader effort, CCIN will soon introduce the VCSI Panic App — a digital platform to strengthen citizen engagement, reporting, and community response.

Safer City is honoured to stand with CCIN and its partners in advancing a unified vision for safer, more resilient, and compassionate communities across South Africa.
